‘Tis the season for monarchs, and if you have been planting plenty of nectar-rich flowers in your garden this summer, your rewards will be coming in on the wing soon. Here are three beauties filling up for their long flight south on our coneflowers. For Monarch-friendly flowers, I always recommend echinaceas, because they are reliable bloomers who don’t disappoint from July through September—and every pollinator on the wing can’t get enough of them!
